Dryer care tips including condenser cleaning
Maintaining your dryer properly ensures that you dry as economically as possible, that the dryer continues to do its job properly and safely, and that your clothes stay beautiful for a long time. Important parts to clean regularly are the condenser and the lint filter.
Find out how to do that in this blog post.
Dryer cleaning approach
Before you start, lay out a cleaning cloth and tea towel. Never use harsh detergents or sharp objects to clean the fluff filter or condenser. Warm (running) water and cleaning cloths are enough.

Cleaning the condenser
Cleaning the dryer filter
Open the door and remove all the lint with a dry or slightly damp cloth on the inside of the door.
Pull out the (two-piece) lint filter. The lint filter is at the bottom in front of the drum.
Remove the lint that is in and around where the filter was.
Pull the two-part lint filter apart. Open the 2 parts of the filter.
Remove all lint from both parts.
Rinse off the remaining lint with some warm water.
Dry the lint filter again and snap it closed.
Repeat this operation with the other filter.
Replace the filters. Check the filters for damage before replacing them. Is a filter broken? Please contact us.
How often should you do it?
Remove the lint after every drying cycle, if your dryer does not have Auto Clean, to avoid a fire hazard.

Clean condenser dryer
Let the dryer cool for 30 minutes before cleaning the condenser and heat exchanger.
Open the lid and latches and remove the heat exchanger cover.
Carefully loosen the filter mat and rinse with running water.
Gently squeeze out the water and allow the mat to dry.
Replace the filter mat.
Do you see a lot of dust and dirt? Take out the insert, rinse it with running water and dry it well. Do not put it back yet.
First clean the area behind the insert with a damp cloth.
Remove lint with a hoover with a brush attachment.
Ready? Replace the insert and the heat exchanger cover.
Make sure you close everything tightly.
How often should you do it?
Clean the condenser or heat exchanger once a month, if your dryer does not have a self-cleaning condenser.
Empty condensation water tank
Do you have a dryer with a water reservoir? Empty it after every drying cycle. See how to do that here. Sometimes it is even necessary to do this while drying. The dryer will indicate this.
